Most people are not aware that there are at least five grades of essential oils, and that only 1% of the oils that come into the U.S. are the highest grade, or therapeutic grade. The other four grades are perfume, fragrance, food and industrial grade. These lower four grades of essential oils may still retain a pleasing fragrance, providing they haven’t been cut or adulterated with synthetic fragrances or toxic and odorless solvents. However, they will not produce the beneficial biochemical, electromagnetic and energetic effects that therapeutic grade oils will. In fact, if they have been adulterated, they can be toxic instead of beneficial!

Extra Time, Extra Care
The distillation process used to produce therapeutic grade oils takes from three to twenty-eight times longer than the other grade distillations. They must be distilled at extremely low temperature and pressure, over a longer period of time, to insure that the essential oil molecules are not fractured in the distillation process. For instance, it may take fifteen minutes to distill a fragrance grade batch of lavender, where it takes from one and a half to three hours to distill therapeutic grade lavender.
The extra time, care and expense are worth it! Therapeutic grade essential oils are live plant consciousness; intelligent, graceful, loving and very powerful representatives of the Spiritual realm of the plant kingdom. For the last twenty-one years it has been one of my greatest pleasures in Life to create Aromatic Alchemy blends of the highest quality therapeutic quality essential oils. Sometimes these are a one-time occurrence, as when I make one for an individual client in their Aromatic Alchemy Master Session.
In this case, the blend is a 15ml (1/2 ounce) miracle that is the aromatic expression of that person’s intentions, dreams, visions and goals for their Life, a talisman that they carry and use for 28 days or sometimes a little longer to illuminate their Way. I record all of these in my log books so that if and when a client wants a re-blend of their session blend I can do it for them, even if it’s years later!
Sometimes a Universal Blend comes through an individual client’s session, and it announces itself in the blending process as one that is appropriate and helpful for many people. Some of my best-selling blends have been born in just this way, including Green Wind, Five Gold Rings, OWIH, Sweetness Remembered, and Sacred Union, to name a few. In fact, Sacred Union is a blend that came out of a session I did for a couple getting ready to be married. They wanted a blend that would embody all that they wished for in their union as well as what they wanted their wedding guests to feel as witness/participants, and they diffused it at the event (with memorable results!)
Always, what is important to remember about my Sacred Aromatics Blends, is that I make them in very small batches, by my choice. I pour every drop, invoking the Overlighting Deva of each ingredient as well as the Deva of the blend itself. Each batch calls forth their own music, altar, prayers and pure intentions, and most vitally, my ability as an aromatic alchemist to hold a strong, clear space for that blend to come through in its most potent form.
I often use precious and rare oils that are often hard to find again, like pink lotus, vintage sandalwood and jasmines from India, blue lotus from Egypt, galbanum from the Middle East, etc. Therefore, I will profile and introduce just a few of them at a time on this website, listening and choosing carefully for which blends from a collection of more than forty-four are appropriate to be introduced to a wider audience than ever before. If you feel drawn to purchase one, my advice is to ‘get ‘em while their hot!’ as they won’t be available forever, and in today’s world I cannot guarantee that I will ever find the rare, precious ingredients I need to make them again.
Finally, it’s important to note that an aromatic alchemist can only make a blend if they can be the state of consciousness that blend is meant to embody. This particular commitment to quality can be a little extra time-consuming! Therefore, please allow ten days to two weeks for delivery of your Sacred Aromatics, and I trust you will feel that it was worth the wait when you get them.
